Paul Chang, Ph.D. is an expert in finding optimal ways to communicate technical information through design. He is specifically interested in distilling complex scientific information into understandable presentations using illustration, information graphics, and interactive presentations.
Dr. Chang earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in design theory and methodology from Cornell University. He worked for Exponent (formerly Failure Analysis Associates) as a visual design engineer, creating graphics and interactive displays for law firms and corporate clients. He currently directs Paul Chang Design (PCD), his visual communication and product design studio in San Francisco.
